Flexibility and efficiency in industrial production

Additive Manufacturing (AM), more commonly known as 3D printing, brings digital flexibility and efficiency to industrial production. It has the power to transform manufacturing operations while enabling the creation of lighter, stronger and more complex parts. In AM, a physical object is created from a digital design by merging material layer by layer to produce precise geometric shapes. By combining AM with the Internet of Things, we can make the production process smarter, more efficient, and produce higher quality parts.

Concept Reply highlights its contributions to the BMBF funded project, IDAM - “Industrialization and Digitization of Additive Manufacturing for Automotive Series Processes” - with a focus on the IoT architecture and gateway, as well as the development of Digital Twin.

Webinar overview

In this webinar, Concept Reply shares its experience in helping to create an Intelligent Digital Process Chain for Additive Manufacturing.

Highlights include:

  • The development of an IoT gateway system for connecting machines securely, collecting, storing, visualising and analysing of telemetry data, and facilitating the automation processes necessary for series production.
  • The implementation of a Digital Twin: a real-time digital replica of the production line that allows for the monitoring of systems, prevention of issues before they occur, development of optimisations and predictive power through simulations.
