Unlike previous generations of mobile networks, Fifth Generation (5G) Technology is expected to transform the role that telecommunications technology plays in society. 5G will enable new use cases such as smart cities, smart agriculture, logistics and public safety agencies. A new 5G Core Network (5GC) as well as a new radio access technology called 5G “New Radio” (NR) are required to enable all uses case (mIoT, URLLC and eMBB).
